Islamabad (Neelum News) – Mashal Malik, the wife of jailed Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik and a prominent Kashmiri activist, has expressed outrage over the recent humiliation of a Kashmiri youth by Indian forces in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
In her statement, she said, “Humanity has once again been trampled on the streets of occupied Kashmir.”
She revealed that Jammu police arrested a young Kashmiri on theft allegations without presenting any evidence or allowing due process. The youth was publicly shamed — forced to wear a garland of shoes and paraded through the streets, in an act Mashal Malik described as “utterly disgraceful and inhumane.”
“This isn’t just the humiliation of one individual,” she said. “It is a calculated insult to the entire Kashmiri nation. This is not justice — it’s open retaliation and vengeance.”
Mashal Malik further stated that Indian forces are carrying out a deliberate campaign to discredit Kashmiri youth and weaken the freedom movement.
“The question now is: When will the international community wake up? When will justice speak? Human rights organizations remain silent while oppression thrives openly,” she asserted.
She concluded with a powerful call to action: “If the world continues to remain silent, humanity will keep dying on the streets of Kashmir every single day.”
