By Karachi (Neelum News) – Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, held a significant meeting with Ms. Faryal Talpur—In-charge of AJK Political Affairs, Member of Sindh Assembly, and Central President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Women’s Wing—at Zardari House in Karachi.
He was accompanied by Member of Assembly Chaudhry Ali Shan Soni and Government Advisor Sardar Ahmed Saghir. During the meeting, all three leaders expressed full confidence in the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and formally announced their joining of the PPP along with their associates.
Ms. Faryal Talpur warmly welcomed Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, Chaudhry Ali Shan Soni, Sardar Ahmed Saghir, and their companions into the party, stating that their inclusion would further strengthen the party’s presence in Azad Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan said:
“The struggle of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, President Asif Ali Zardari, and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for the Kashmir cause is unparalleled.”
Ms. Faryal Talpur added:
“The Pakistan Peoples Party is the only political party founded on the Kashmir issue. Have faith in us—when Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari becomes Prime Minister, the dream of development in Azad Kashmir and the freedom of Indian-occupied Kashmir will surely be realized.”
The event was also attended by prominent personalities including Punjab Governor Sardar Salim Haider, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Sindh Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar, former AJK President and PM Sardar Yaqoob Khan, senior PPP leader Chaudhry Muhammad Riaz, and AJK Government Minister Zia-ul-Qamar.
