Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has responded to a recent video message by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei with a statement on social media.
According to international media sources, Netanyahu said, “We will continue working with the U.S. President to defeat our common enemies, secure the release of our hostages, and expand the circle of peace.”
He added, “I am deeply grateful to President Trump for his support, as well as the support of Israel and the Jewish people.”
Along with his statement, the Israeli Prime Minister shared a photo of himself warmly shaking hands with the U.S. President.
Earlier, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, in his first video message following recent tensions, stated:
“The United States entered the war to save Israel but achieved nothing. I congratulate the nation on the victory against Israel. Iran has crushed Israel and its claims. Ninety million Iranians stood united with their army.”
He further said, “Israel tried to target our nuclear facilities. However, the Iranian military is fully capable of responding to any form of aggression. The Iranian people put aside all internal differences and stood united, sending a strong message to the world — we are one. The Islamic Republic of Iran has delivered a powerful slap to the face of the United States.”
Khamenei also stated that the U.S. President had threatened Iran into surrendering, but “the Iranian people have never surrendered and never will. History is proof that Iranians have never bowed down.”
He added, “The U.S. government directly entered the war because it feared that if it didn’t, the Zionist regime would be completely destroyed. That regime is already on the brink of collapse. America intervened to save Israel, but it failed to achieve anything.”
