Celebrations Erupt in Tehran as Ceasefire Announced, Thousands Take to the Streets with Iranian Flags

Tehran (Neelum News) – After 12 days of devastating conflict between Iran and Israel, citizens across Iran, especially in the capital Tehran, breathed a sigh of relief as a ceasefire was announced. Thousands took to the streets waving national flags, celebrating peace, and chanting slogans of unity and hope.

The war, which lasted from June 13 to June 24, left several Iranian cities heavily affected. Israeli airstrikes claimed hundreds of lives and displaced thousands. Constant bombardment and looming threats pushed civilians into a state of severe psychological distress.

The ceasefire brought a ray of hope to Tehran’s residents and signaled a return to normalcy. Streets came back to life with children playing outdoors, people cleaning their homes, and businesses beginning to reopen.

Displaced citizens from conflict-affected regions also welcomed the truce, expressing a strong desire to return to their homes soon. One resident shared, “We’ve spent days with relatives or in rented places. Now, we hope for lasting peace and the chance to live peacefully in our own homes again.”

Reflecting the collective sentiment, an elderly citizen said, “We don’t want war. We want peace, progress, and a safe future for our children.”

According to government sources, terms of the ceasefire have been finalized, and full restoration of peace and order is expected across the country in the coming days.
